In un’epoca nella quale le Città Storiche sono sottoposte a pressioni tese a trasformarle radicalmente per rispondere ad esigenze nuove, di respiro globale, qual è il significato del preservare i quartieri tradizionali? Qual  è il rapporto con la sostenibilità, a cui tutti, (amministrazioni, comunità locali e tecnici) dicono di voler tendere? Quali sono gli apporti che le carte internazionali possono dare in questi processi? Quali sono i benefici per comunità e stakeholders? Quali esempi possono essere considerati significativi? Esperti internazionali e armeni riflettono sul tema nella cornice di questo webinar organizzato dal Rochemp Center.

Connecting Formal and Informal Education with Digital Cultural Heritage

Join this unique event where museum educators and teachers will learn about new trends and tools to engage remotely with learners.

Europeana Education and the LEM Group of NEMO invites you to a learning event online addressed to museum educators and teachers.

During a two days workshop, you will know more about innovative pedagogical trends, free available resources to engage remotely with students and get insights into our plans to strengthen formal and informal education with digital cultural heritage. The event is also an opportunity to meet and discuss with peers across Europe, share your experience with online tools, and get practical insight on how to design eLearning activities for your learners in this disruptive period.

Important information:

  • Places are limited to museum educators and teachers. After your registration, we will select the candidates according to country representation. We will inform you by the end of July if you’ve got a place.
  • For those completing the workshop, we will grant a certificate.

Museum in Short

As a part of our mission to enhance cultural heritage of the Region and to assist museums in engaging new audiences by using multimedia approach, ROCHEMP will continue sharing and promoting new opportunities for Armenian and regional museums. In this respect, the opportunity to participate in the international contest Museum in short is the one that should not be missed. The contest is a great chance for museums to use their creative approach and new tools for presenting their museum at the international level. For more information on the requirements and application process, please read below.   

Museums in Short is an international contest open to short videos realized by/for/with museums.

Since 2012, Museums in Short award is addressed to institutions, authors or producers who use audiovisual language to enhance museum communication and engage audiences. Projects may include documentaries, animations, trailers and visual installations.

REGULATION & APPLICATION FORM

The deadline for the submissions is 31st August 2020.

  1. Participants are museums / producers / authors.
  2. Entries are supposed to be in video format, related to museums and produced from 1st January 2017 onwards.

Videos must be in English or with English subtitles. Videos in different languages without English subtitles won’t be accepted. The maximum length required is of 10 minutes.

Each museum can be represented by only 1 video. The final judgment on the pertinence of the content is a prerogative of the organization.

3. Sections

The Award is open to the following categories of videos:

4. Registration is free of charge.

5. Materials required for application

  • The file of the video must be sent online (via WeTransfer or similar services) to the following e-mail address: info@museumsinshort.eu .
  • Please, try not to exceed the maximum size file of 2GB. All the formats are admitted.
  • Enrollment Form filled out in every part
  • Release Note for the Use of video, Release Note for the Use of the Music in the video, Treatment of Personal Details
  • If the application is submitted by producers or authors: a written declaration signed by a representative of the museum, by which the museum accepts to be represented in Museums in Short 2020 by that video.
  • Optional: A video presentation of the short film by the author (via WeTransfer or similar, maximum 2 minutes sent online to the e-mail: info@museumsinshort.eu )

Submissions presenting incomplete application forms will not be accepted.

By applying to the competition, every participant gets responsible for the content of the submitted work. Participants allow the uploading of the videos, as well as trailers or frames of the work, to the dedicated website www.museumsinshort.eu  and the related medias of every member of the Organizing committee. The organization reserves the right to request the shortlisted participants additional information for promotional purposes.

6. Awards

After the closure of applications, a commission formed by experts in the field of museums and multimedia will select the winner. The date and the complete program of the award ceremony will be communicated later and published on the website  www.museumsinshort.eu .

The winner will also be invited to present his achievement at the annual Best in Heritage IMAGINES event – the global conference featuring award-winning museum, heritage and conservation projects – that is held at the end of each September, in Dubrovnik (Croatia). The commission may give special mentions related to sections.

All the participants will be part of an online archive managed by musil. Videos will also include in a platform managed by European Museum Academy and used as scientific and teaching documents in European museum studies programmes or similar.

An online platform will give to the public the opportunity to vote for the public’s favourite short.

Participation in the competition implies full acceptance of these rules.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE SELECTION OF PERSONNEL IN ROCHEMP – REGIONAL OFFICE FOR CULTURAL HERITAGE ENHANCEMENT, MANAGEMENT AND PROTECTION

The National Gallery of Armenia announces a call for the position of the job side of Coordinator of ROCHEMP – Regional Office for Cultural Heritage Enhancement Management and Protection.

The admission request for the selection must be presented by  09.03.2020.

Late applications will not be considered for the selection.

Nell’ambito del Progetto ROCHEMP, a partire da febbraio 2020, sarà attivato a Yerevan il corso-pilota “ROCHEMP2020: formazione per esperti del patrimonio culturale”.

23 – 24 Gennaio 2020 – Cultural Heritage: experiences and perspectives in International context

Il 23 e il 24 gennaio 2020, a Yerevan (Armenia), presso la Conference Hall del Matenadaran Mesrop Masthots Research Institute for Ancient Manuscipts, si terrà il Convegno Internazionale “Cultural Heritage: experiences and perspectives in International context”.
L’evento, organizzato dal ROCHEMP Center con il supporto del Dipartimento di Beni Culturali dell’Università di Bologna (Italia), il Ministero di Educazione, Scienza, Cultura e Sport della Repubblica di Armenia e AICS – Agenzia Italiana per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo, coinvolgerà esperti locali, regionali e internazionali in uno scambio di esperienze e punti di vista sui temi della cooperazione internazionale nella cura e gestione del Patrimonio Culturale, sulla formazione dei diversi professionisti operanti nel settore e sulle modalità di coinvolgimento del pubblico.
La Conferenza rappresenta un’importante occasione di condivisione e dialogo tra esperti del settore, per avviare un nuovo e consapevole approfondimento sul ruolo del Patrimonio Culturale quale strumento e veicolo funzionale alla crescita sociale ed economica. L’evento si concluderà con una tavola rotonda in cui, ospiti e pubblico, potranno intervenire proponendo considerazioni e punti di vista rispetto ai temi trattati durante le due giornate.
La Conferenza “Cultural Heritage: experiences and perspectives in International context” si inserisce in una serie di incontri pubblici organizzati dal Centro ROCHEMP, due dei quali  si sono svolti il 17 dicembre scorso, e che abbracceranno diversi aspetti del Patrimonio culturale tangibile e intangibile della Repubblica di Armenia.
