Ani Avagyan has obtained her degree from the Armenian State Pedagogical University in 2005. Ani has conducted research on the Armenian monuments in India. Afterwards she has developed her professional knowledge and skills in Armenia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Georgia, France, Japan, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine. She was employed by National Gallery of Armenia as a researcher in the department of Sculpture. From 2008 she initiated the educational activities at the NGA which became a base for establishment of the Education Department in 2016, which Ani lead until appointment as the director of the ROCHEMP Center. She has been the head of NGA PR Department (2010-2016). During her professional career Ani has developed social activities in the field of museums on the national and international levels. She is a founding members of ICOM Armenia and the Chair since 2017. Ani was appointed as a member of ICOM Strategic planning for 2020-2023. A Member of Board of trustees at Armenian Genocide Museum & Institute foundation. Ani was the ICOM CECA Secretary for 2013-2016. She has initiated and organized a number of professional development courses, national, regional or international trainings, workshops, conferences. She is an author or co-author of a number of articles and books. Among other, she is an initiator and organizer of the “Museum week 2018” Yerevan. The strategies, management and marketing tools that she used during her work have resulted in increases of professionals in the CH field and engagement of public with the CH.
